Just be careful when removing them. The pickup coil tells the ignition when it should fire should have nothing to do with the stator output. I don't have my notes just now but I checked the (source coil) side of the stator. it has 25 ohms of resistance and generates when cranking. The ignition coil has .1 to .2 ohms resistance on the primary side and an appropriate (from elsewhere on this forum) amount of resistance in the secondary.With the CDI unit plugged in, check for about 100 volts output on the blk/yel wire to ground at the coil. Finally, check for about 30 to 40,000 volts on the high tension wire to the spark plug to ground. If you have the voltages and no spark, check all the ground connections.
