I think that both of these brands have their faults, so you'll need to retest in a day or so to see if you get a definite answer. The cb line looks too thin which is typical for their evaps, but like you said it could be early. Answer: It means you're seeing the indent line, or the space where, if the test had been positive, the dye would have pooled to give you a second (colored) line. Because you can only see the line when you hold the test up to the light, the test shouldn't be considered positive.
